As Vice President of Internal Talent for MGM Mirage, Hilary McClain works closely with operational leadership company-wide to develop systems and structures that support the continued growth of MGM MIRAGE and of the individual members of its workforce. A critical priority for Internal Talent is the development and implementation of company-wide programs to inventory, track and expand employee skills and talents available to the company; measure and improve employee performance; and plan for succession. In this role, Hilary will also establish the training and developmental framework for MGM MIRAGE University, as well as oversee the Strategic Staffing & College Relations Department.
Hilary began her career with the company in 1993 at MGM Grand performing various duties within recruitment, benefits and training. She later assumed the position of Vice President of Human Resources for Primm Valley Casino Resorts, where she was responsible for all Human Resources functions. Prior to her current position, Hilary was the Vice President of Human Resources for Excalibur, where she was responsible for strategic and operational efforts, organizational development, training, customer service strategy, performance management, leadership development, employment, compensation, benefits, and employee and labor relations. She has also served as Corporate Director of Training for Station Casinos and Assistant Director of Human Resources for Harrah’s in Reno.
Hilary has been a member of the Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Board since August 2008 and the School Community Partnership Advisory Council for the Clark County School District since February 2005. She is also a past board member of the American Society of Training and Development, Las Vegas Chapter, as well as of the Nevada Lodging Association.
Hilary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration, with an emphasis in Human Resources, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
