The nomination process started September 12, 2012 and will continue until September 21, 2012 at which time the crowdsourced judging will commence. The inaugural awards will be presented on October 15, 2012 at The Recruiting Conference in Las Vegas.

Selection process 
Winners will be selected via three phases of judging. A crowdsourcing component, a panel of recruiting practitioner judges and finally, the conference attendees.

Prizes 
Winners of the Talent Hunter and Recruiting Innovation Awards will receive an Apple iPad 3 and The Recruiting Organization team will share a $500 gift card for a team celebration. Winners in each of the three categories will also receive a trophy.

Mike Bailen

Mike Bailen has been with The Zappos Family since March of 2010. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Human Resources and Psychology, he worked as a Corporate Recruiter for American Family Insurance in Madison, WI. After leaving the frozen tundra, he headed out west to join the Zappos Family as a Recruiter. Since then, he moved on to create the Zappos summer internship program and currently manages the recruiting team. He loves the challenge of finding candidates that are fun and a little weird, and that can help drive the Zappos culture forward. When he’s not babysitting…errrr managing…the recruiting team, he enjoys sports, new technology, and food. Being a Wisconsinite, he naturally loves the Green Bay Packers, cheese and beer!

Lou Adler

Lou Adler () is the CEO and founder of The Adler Group (www.adlerconcepts.com) – a training and executive search firm helping companies around the world implement Performance-based Hiringsm. Adler is the author of the definitive guide for hiring top talent, Hire With Your Head (John Wiley & Sons, 3rd Edition, 2007) – an Amazon top-10 best-seller, based on his twenty years as one of the top recruiters in the country.  He is also the author of the award-winning Nightingale-Conant audio program, Talent Rules! Using Performance-based Hiring to Hire Top Talent (2007). Adler’s prior industry experience included operations and general management positions with the Allen Group, and senior financial management positions with Rockwell International.

John Bell

As founder, chairman, and CEO, John brings more than 25 years of staffing, IT systems development, and association experience to Boxwood Technology. Prior to launching Boxwood in 1998, he founded Bell & Associates, a full service recruiting firm that earned national recognition as the Nationwide Job Placement Network for the National Systems Programmer Association. A pioneer in the electronic recruitment industry, John has created and delivered technology applications for more than two decades. He anticipated the emergence of the “Internet electronic marketplace” in the early 1990s, and after automating Bell & Associates, launched a software company, which subsequently became today’s Boxwood.

John is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) serving on its Technology Section Council; and serves on the Education Committee of the New York Society of Association Executives (NYSAE).
